Gluttony at its Finest

Reader's Digest version of our life:

Husband's company announced in July 2009 that they were relocating to Florida. We opted to follow. They said we'd hear something by November 2009. We are still waiting.
In January, we put our house on the market. It sold in six days. We entered into a 90 day approval process for the Short Sale. It only took 45 days to get the approval. We have to be out by April 23, almost three whole months ahead of schedule.

Still no word about Florida.

We can't find a place to rent. Apartments are too small and houses are too expensive. Not to mention, thirty days is not a lot of time. We can't decide what to do! Rent a small place and get a storage unit only to live here in town another ten months or rent a small house and end up leaving for Florida in three months?

BUT TODAY we finally decided what to do and I am sooooo relived! We are renting a POD and putting ALL our belongings away. We have been blessed with THREE generous offers to stay with people a month at a time. Having this time will give us a chance to look for the right place here in town and/or get solid ideas about Florida.

If we move to Florida, we can arrange for the POD to be delivered there. If we stay in San Diego, we can have the POD delivered to our new place here in town. It's the perfect solution!

So you might be asking, what does all this have to do with a giant banana split? We had dinner with our future roomies tonight and shared this giant sundae.

Yum!

Studio Diner?

If I'm right I have to say that it's sad I can recognize a restaurant by its dessert :)
