Day 10 of 28 Days of Doing - Tulle Halloween Wreath

28 Days of Doing - The Pinterest Challenge
In an attempt to DO more than PIN, I've challenged myself to 28 days of doing. I'm tackling 28 projects found on Pinterest in 28 days. You can see the entire collection of pins here.

Today's Pin: Tulle Halloween Wreath

The Pin's Source: Our Best Bites

Cost:
  • $4.49 for an 8" wreath form (used a 40% off coupon so it was really $2.69)
  • $6.00 for a spool of Wilton's black tulle
  • $1.99 for a purple glitter spider
  • $0.99 for a bunch of plastic black flowers

Hours: 5 hours

Notable Comments: I was really excited about this project. I thought the Halloween themed wreath was super cute and it just so happens I am in the market for a cute Halloween wreath this year, win-win!!

But this project is nothing like I thought it would be. It might just be me but I had a hard time cutting all the tulle the same length. In the end I had to trim it up and as you can see, it's still not even! So investing extra time to cut the tulle all the same length was a big waste.

And after all is said and done, I don't think it's that cute. Maybe it's the unevenness of the tulle and maybe I need more flare but at this point I am done. I just didn't think it was cute enough to invest any more time than I've already given it.
